Chief Controller of Accounts is
responsible for -
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Arranging all payments through Pay & Accounts Offices situated
in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkatta, Cochin, Nagpur and Faridabad and Cheque drawing DDOs (CDDOs).
|
|
|
|
Compilation and consolidation of accounts of the Ministry in the form prescribed and its submission to the Controller General of Accounts (CGA); preparation of Annual Appropriation Accounts for Grants of the Ministry and submission to C&AG and CGA, duly signed by the Chief Accounting Authority.
|
|
|
|
Arranging internal inspection of payment and accounts records maintained by the
various subordinate formations and Pay & Accounts Offices of the Ministry.
|
|
|
|
Advise and assist the ministry on all matters relating to Finance, Budget, Expenditure, Management and Personal claims of the employees.
|
|
|
|
Preparing budget of all the Departments of Agriculture & Cooperation, Animal Husbandry & Dairying and Department of Agricultural Research & Education.
|
|
|
|
He
can arrange special audit of Grantee-Institutions, to whom the
grants are released by the Ministry.
|
|
|
|
CCA is assisted by Controller of Accounts(Admn) &
Controller of Accounts(Internal Audit & Accounts) who
supervise the work of the Pay & Accounts Offices i.e.

PAO(Agri)Kolkata, PAO(AHD)Mumbai, PAO(A&C)Mumbai,
